A companionship in Garden Grove needed a ride to Marys kitchen. There is a shortage of cars right since there is a big group that need registration. Lunch. Revelation
It is the communication from God to us his children. It is one of the greatest helps to us while we are here on this earth. The thing we must do to receive revelation is be ready to receive and put a little effort forth. There is many ways to receive revelation, but the most prominent is the prompting of the Holy Ghost. The first you must do is ask him through prayer.
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:7–8)
We must while waiting for the answers strive to remain worthy, keeping the commandments, studying the scriptures and pondering.
“Unto him that keepeth my commandments I will give the mysteries of my kingdom, and the same shall be in him a well of living water, springing up unto everlasting life” (D&C 63:23)

Week 81

Monday 5/15/2017
It was a busy transfer day. The confusion was rampant through the mission. It seemed like every area was having a change. We had a struggle getting our stuff moved around most of the day. We went with Elder Thomas to go, go carting again. We eventually got everything moving around by the end of the day. I met with Elder Martin and we grabbed my stuff then unpacked for the rest of the night.

Tuesday
After studies we had some finishing touches to transfers to take care of. We gave Elder Thomas/Dodd a ride for most of the day. We were a blessing to get them their bikes and finish moving over their stuff. We did finding for most of the day. We saw this Asian man that was very nice. He invited us into his home after helping him move some things. He showed us all of his family and told us a lot. He spoke Vietnamese so we are going to get the other Elders to stop by and see him. Apparently I look like Kennedy to him.

Wednesday
In the morning after studies we exchanged. I went with Elder Thomas/Dodd while Elder Martin went to the district leader training meeting. We worked on getting their area straightened out since they were white washed in. When we exchanged back we finished our studies then went to dinner with the Jersengins. After dinner we met with the bishop and talked about how to get missionary work rolling in the ward. They are working on getting things in place after a realignment of boundaries and bishopric changes. We went out finding to finish off our night.

Thursday
We started our day after studies with district meeting. We talked about listening, asking inspired questions, and decerning the needs of those that we are teaching. There was a lunch appointment at cafe Rio that we hurried to. The we headed quickly over to the mission office so Elder Martin could got to a meeting for missionaries leaving. I went with Elder Dales and we saw some people during the meeting. We got back did a quick companionship study/Dinner before going out and doing some finding. We were able to talk to a lot of people while we were finding.

Friday
In the morning after studies we went out and did a little finding before lunch then weekly planning. Our weekly planning took till about dinner time. After we went out and did more finding. We were able to talk to some people they were nice but not interested in listening.

Saturday
In the morning we went out and did finding before lunch then companion study. We were able to talk to a mom. She was open to us coming back by and talking more. Our day consisted of more finding. We were in the Yorba Linda for the day which tends to be harder to get people to talk to us.

Sunday
We started our day with ward council, which was really good. I got to meet a lot of the ward during church. There was a Sister leaving to go on her mission to Kobe Japan that spoke. After church we went to the farewell to get some food. It turned out they know me from when I was a young fellow from fifteen years ago. She actually went to a birthday party I had when I five. So that was cool small world. We had dinner with the Morris family, the are really cool. Brother Morris gave us some great scriptural insights which I always enjoy.

I'm running low one things to write about so I will leave with a scripture for this week.
Doctrines and Covenants 18
10 Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;
11 For, behold, the Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him.
12 And he hath risen again from the dead, that he might bring all men unto him, on conditions of repentance.
13 And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth!

Week 80 Importance of Daily Scripture Study

Monday 5/9/2017
Our day started with going to a go cart racing place. That was a joyous activity, I ended up being the second fastest. We were able to hit the Orange zone PDay and play a couple sports. We ended our day with some finding.

Tuesday
Elder Hugie started to come down with a sickness. The weather was matching, leaving us with not much accomplished. We were able to make it to PEC and ward council. They are discussing the missionary program and people to get called. There is some good goals they set to work toward.

Wednesday
This is the point where I started to slack on keeping note of our days. We were able to see Cindy she is ready to start up the lessons. She is also thinking about moving soon.

Thursday
District meeting was great Elder Hugie was still sick making it rough for him. He shattered his I pad screen after district meeting. So we made a run to go get it fixed before the end of the day.

Friday
The district was able to meet up after our weekly planning. We did District tracting in our area. They were able to find a lot of great people to work with. At the end of the night we went with the assistants so Elder Hugie could do a baptismal interview.

Saturday
We went with the zone leaders in the morning for another baptismal interview. After we had a service helping a new family move into the ward. At the end of the night we got transfers calls. My new area will be the Tri city ward with Elder Martin.

Sunday
It was a good Mothers Day program. After church we were able to Skype before we went back and packed our stuff.

Importance of Daily Scripture Study
The principal purpose of scriptures is to testify of Christ, helping us come unto Him and receive eternal life (see John 5:39; 20:31; 1 Nephi 6:4; Mosiah 13:33–35). The prophet Mormon testified:
“Whosoever will may lay hold upon the word of God, which is quick and powerful, which shall divide asunder all the cunning and the snares and the wiles of the devil, and lead the man of Christ in a strait and narrow course across that everlasting gulf of misery which is prepared to engulf the wicked
“And land their souls, yea, their immortal souls, at the right hand of God in the kingdom of heaven, to sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and with Jacob, and with all our holy fathers, to go no more out” (Helaman 3:29–30).
Latter-day prophets counsel us to study the scriptures every day, both individually and with our families. They encourage us, as Nephi encouraged his brethren, to liken the scriptures to ourselves, finding ways that the sacred accounts of old apply in our lives today (see 1 Nephi 19:23–24). They exhort us to “search the scriptures” (John 5:39) and “feast upon the words of Christ” (2 Nephi 32:3).
You will benefit greatly by following this counsel. Daily, meaningful scripture study helps you be receptive to the whisperings of the Holy Ghost. It builds your faith, fortifies you against temptation, and helps you draw near to your Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son.
Develop a plan for your personal study of the scriptures. Consider setting aside a certain amount of time each day to study the scriptures. During that time, read carefully, being attentive to the promptings of the Spirit. Ask your Heavenly Father to help you know what He would have you learn and do.
Continue reading the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, throughout your life. You will rediscover the treasures of the scriptures again and again, finding new meaning and application in them as you study them at different stages of life.
If you are married, set aside time each day to read the scriptures as a family. This effort may be difficult, but it will yield wonderful, eternal results. Under the guidance of the Spirit, plan scripture reading that will meet the needs of your family. Do not be afraid of reading the scriptures to small children. The language of those sacred records has power to touch even the very young. - True to the Faith

Week 79 Ask of God

Monday 5/1/2017
We started our day with a trip to downtown Disney. There were some cool things to do like Lego towers and  drive remote control cars. We stopped by Joe's before lunch at the circle. We were able to stop by the Santa Ana zoo also. It was interesting more of like a petting zoo. I shook hands with a monkey which was cool. We stopped by a member's house from one of our previous wards. We ate some of their food and finished the night.
Tuesday
We did finding after lunch until dinner. We didn't get any solid contacts to follow-up with. Our dinner was with the Jensens. We went to the church for ward council but they changed it to the next day. We went to go see the Para family but they weren't home. We did some street contacting on our way back to the apartment.
Wednesday
Our day started with zone conference. It was a good meeting we had instruction to improve our teaching. After that we went and grabbed some Joe's. Sister Valencia dropped some Panda for dinner which is always a favorite. We had ward council the ward is really starting to want to take action with their missionary program. We had to leave to go to a lesson, but Elder Hugie felt other wise. So we went and saw Jesse. The family just moved into their new apartment and are getting settled in so we plan to see if we can do some teaching now. They have had a change in their life so maybe he will be ready to take action now.
Thursday
We had a lunch at Silverado cafe with Elder Thomas/Sami for hitting a mission milestone. It is out in the Canyon pretty secluded, but was a pretty busy place. A very friendly intoxicated man named Gabriel payed for our meal. He kept claiming in was Cinco de mayo but it wasn't till Friday. He was entertaining to say the least. We were able to have a meeting with Brother Vargas and Brother walker. He helped give some ward mission leader tips to Brother Vargas. We tried to see Brother Valencia, but he was leaving as we came up. We also tried to see Christopher. We then tried Cindy, she rescheduled for the next day
Friday
After we finished our weekly planning. We saw Cindy and she is fully clear from her lung cancer. The Doctors took 15% of her lung out with a robot which is cool. We talked to her about the Temple and how she can be sealed with the rest of her family. We taught her a little of the plan of salvation and invited her to the temple grounds tour. She definitely wanted to come if she was up for it. She is ready now to start progressing as an investigator since she has quit smoking cold. We saw Christopher and his mom and invited them to the temple walk as well. Our other appointments fell through since they were not home yet. We exchanged at the end of the night with Elder Durney/Seagmiller. I went with Elder Durney to his area.
Saturday
After our studies we had a lesson with a Liberian woman. She was kind of hard to understand and she didn't have much time to meet with us. We talked about the importance of her reading from the Book of Mormon to know if it is true. There was a young woman's fundraiser that we helped setup before lunch. Their investigator that they had going to the temple grounds walk was having some tent problems being homeless. So we went down to the river bed where the large homeless population is, to help her with her tent. We got to the temple walk and she really enjoyed it. She had the most questions out of our tour group which was awesome. The young women's thing for was for dinner. We were able to talk to a good amount of people before we exchanged back at the end of the night.
Sunday
We had a good Sunday another wave of summer sales people have come in. The burst of young people is going to be a great use while they are in the ward. Our dinner was with the Wardle family a temporary stay. They really want to help out with the efforts of the ward while they stay. There wasn't much for the rest of the night.
Ask of God
In my my studies lately expecially in the Doctrine in Covenants I have gained some insight. It seems to be a recurrence of have a desire for things. These things maybe gifts, wisdom and others things from God. The point that is always put across is you must ask in faith for what you may be desiring. The Lord is always willing to bless his children his arms are always out stretched. In the recent zone conference President talked about how often is says Joseph asked of God. He asked of God with all of his power. He has always been there to answer prayers even in times of old. He would answer prayers now being the same always.
That reminds me of a good scripture.
1 Nephi 10 17-18
17 And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all the words of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of the Holy Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men.
18 For he is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and the way is prepared for all men from the foundation of the world, if it so be that they repent and come unto him.

Week 78 Charity from True to the Faith

Monday 4/25/2017
We went to a lunch at a buffet for Elder Lindsey to start the day. Our activities haven't been too good lately so we went to the Orange PDay. They had some good sports going. We had time to stop by the Canyon before we did some finding to finish our night off.

Tuesday
In the morning we helped do some service moving with the truck Elders. We stopped at the mission office and helped do some car inspections that are getting ready for sale. We had dinner with the Jensens at Angelo's. We ended with Ward council, they discussed a self reliance program the stake is staring. We exchanged at the end of the night. I stayed in the area with Elder Dube.

Wednesday
We were able to do a little finding before we had service at Mary's Kitchen. We were able to go to Mary's with the Tongans. After we went back out to do some finding. We met John who is less active. He told us about his experience with scammers from Ghana. That was triggered from Elder Dube being from Zimbabwe. We got dinner from Sister Heafele. After we did some walking around and talked with some people at the park next to the church. We exchanged back at the end of the night.

Thursday
Our day started with Zone training. It was a pretty good zone training. We talked about improving our teaching. After we got Panda with most of the zone. We went and did finding down Harbor where the Disney goers are. We tried to see a few more people that weren't home before the end of the night.

Friday
In the morning during studies we did a temporary exchange. I went with Elder Hansen to get some medication. Elder Christensen was sick. We had apartment inspections from the zone leaders. We did some finding before dinner with the Morales. After we went and tried to see some people. We got some food for the elders from the Samoan sisters their ward was throwing a party at the church. The Samoans have some really great gatherings.

Saturday
We started our day of service at a rally for the love Anaheim day of service. We went as a district to a aquaponics farm. They grow food through a system of ponds and raised beds. It is an interesting thing. We helped plant a whole bunch of palm trees. They are using them to make shade. The service lasted a while. He had to go get trees a few times we were planting them all before we could come back. We went to Fullerton where we had a big lunch with all of the other cities. There was a few different zones of missionaries. We hit sonic up after. We went and did some finding after dinner. We were able to see the Para family they have been hard to catch. We reviewed the restoration with them.

Sunday
It was a good Sunday more summer sales people have showed. They have added well to the ward. They had a combined 5 Sunday meeting on service with the Samoans. After church we had a linger longer which went well. We tried some contacting to finish off our Sunday.

Charity from True to the Faith

Charity is “the pure love of Christ,” or “everlasting love”

Jesus Christ is the perfect example of charity. In His mortal ministry, He always “went about doing good,” teaching the gospel and showing tender compassion for the poor, afflicted, and distressed. His crowning expression of charity was His infinite Atonement. He said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). This was the greatest act of long-suffering, kindness, and selflessness that we will ever know. With an understanding of the Savior’s enduring love, you can exercise faith and repent of your sins, confident that He will forgive you and strengthen you in your efforts to live the gospel.
The Savior wants you to receive His love, and He also wants you to share it with others. He declared to His disciples: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34–35). In your relationships with family members and others, look to the Savior as your example. Strive to love as He loves, with unfailing compassion, patience, and mercy.
As you continue to receive the Savior’s perfect love and as you demonstrate Christlike love for others, you will find that your love increases. You will experience the joy of being in the Lord’s service. The Holy Ghost will be your constant companion, guiding you in your service and in your relationships with others. You will be prepared to meet the Lord at the Judgment, when He will reward you according to your dedication to His work. Mormon taught:
“If ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail
“But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure” (Moroni 7:46–48).
