Week 30

Monday 5/23/2016 

We went and picked up our laundry from La Habra. Then went on the hunt for a decent library. We went to the institute to pick up some food. Our pday activity was at Craig park. We played some ultimate, till dinner time. After dinner we did some finding. 

Tuesday

In the morning we did service for the American Red Cross blood center. We set there and checked people in for a few hours. We did some visiting of people for a while. Dinner was with the Garcias, we talked about setting up a family mission plan. Tamara is back in the hospital again. We saw the Viramontes family. Then called it a night.  

Wednesday 

District meeting in the morning, President and sister Taggart attended it was nice to see them. Lunch was a grab then gather we got subway. We did park contacting at Craig park for a while. Tried to see a few formers no luck. Finished the night with dinner at the Capaloto's 

Thursday 

After studies we had a service at Mary's. After Mary's we went to Joe's. Dinner was with Brother Northgrave we talked about missionary work in the ward. We went and saw Jerom. He has trouble excepting the message we will keep working with to see were he can go. Finished the night at vantage point. 

Friday 

Most of our day consisted of weekly planning. Dinner was with the Shillings ilomelis an Italian restaurant. That closed our night 

Saturday 

We had a service in the morning. We helped the Bailey family moving from Acacia park to our ward. The move was very quick less than a half hour actually. After the move we did some planning then went out. We had a lesson with Michael we taught him about prophets. After our lesson we went and saw some potentials then went to Hillcrest park. We had dinner with the Rowe family they made breakfast burritos, which was awesome. After dinner we tried to see Tamara because we heard she was out of the hospital. After we stopped by and found that she was not home, we got a call from her. She was out with sister Douglass getting ready to come to church. We finished the night by visited with Liza she asked us to pray for her and saw how she is doing. 

Sunday 

Before church we met with the Bishop and Brother Northgrave. Tamara made it to sacrament meeting. The topic of the meetings was the sabbath day and that is something that stuck out to her. After church we had a baptism for Enrique who lives in another mission, but wanted to get baptized at our building. After Enrique was baptized there was a ASL baptism and Tamara was able to attend. We had to leave before the end of the baptism, but we had members to take care of her. Our dinner was with the Yauney family. 

Sorry didn't put a lot of effort in writing this week, but the end of the week was great. 

Week 29

Monday 5/16/2016 

We headed to the pinnacle after studies while driving there received a ticket for an unsafe turn. So that is fun I got my first ticket on my mission. We went to the computer lab at the pinnacle to work on some music things. We picked up our laundry, then went bowling with the zone leaders and Sunny Hills. I was the all time champion of the two frames we played, I didn't know I was that good at bowling. After bowling we had lunch at Wendy's. We went to pday activity a lot of people were not there they switched up a bunch of apartments without extended notice. We saw the Weske family, we taught about the importance of the spirit and the Book of Mormon. Tracy doesn't seem interested in finding out an answer to if the Book of Mormon is true. We will continue to help them grow in their faith. After our lesson we changed and headed over and helped with the moving madness. The zone leaders and Acacia park got moved out, they put sisters in to replace them. Getting our laundry done without having to pay has become more complicated, but we will figure something out. 

Tuesday 

We went out and saw Sister Henry. When we got there she was having some banking problems, so we gave her some resources to help figure out her problem. We did some district finding, we weren't able to find anyone. We saw Robert and setup another appointment with him. We setup an appointment with Tamara also. We went and got hair cuts at a members house in the Sunny Hills ward. After our haircuts we had dinner at the Birds house. Brother Bird made some good Tri-tip. We had an appointment with Jerom so we taught him the restoration. He had some trouble recovering it so we will continue to work with him. 

Wednesday 

We had zone conference for most of the day. It was awesome to get some great insights on improving. During the conference Elder Groover (The housing coordinator) got one of our keys to the apartment, he told us they were putting a second fridge in our apartment. The irony is that we were just told that we shouldn't have extra things in our apartment for example an extra fridge. We went to the mission office after the conference. Elder Anderson the vehicle coordinator needed us to drop him off to pickup a car so we did. We went to Joe's then headed back to Fullerton. We had dinner at the Jorgensen's the Churchwell's were also there. We came back and there was a fridge sitting in the middle of our apartment. We did some cleaning for apartment inspections. We saw the Hozner's so we setup for Sunday. 

Thursday 

In the morning we went and helped pack a Sister Broadwater's house. We came back to the apartment and had lunch. We went and saw Sister Merilez and talked about prayer then gave her a blessing. We did some work at the church for a little bit. Dinner was with the Smith family, we went to Ginza a Japanese restaurant. I tried quite a few new things while there. We went back and picked up our phone since we forgot it at the apartment. We tried to see some less actives at the end  of the night. 

 Friday 

In the morning I went with Elder Russell to a lesson while Elder Nelson stayed with Elder Hamby. Elder Nelson has been sick for almost two weeks now. When we exchanged back we went to vantage point for a little while. Then we started weekly planning. We had to cut weekly planning short then go to dinner. We had dinner at he Jernigan's. We saw Todd checked up on how he is doing. Tamara wasn't home when we tried to see her. Then we called it a night. 

Saturday 

We finished weekly planning. We went and exchanged with Acacia Park again. I went with Elder Russell to the temple grounds tour. We grabbed some Joe's on the way back, we saw the pizza planet truck from toy story while there. We had California pizza kitchen for dinner with a member. Then exchanged back.

  

Sunday 

In the morning we had ward council. In gospel principles we heard some mission stories. In Elders quorum we played a primary game to start the lesson, but it was able to be linked in to the lesson. We had lunch back at the apartment. Dinner was with the Todd's. Then we tried the Hozner's. We started our laundry at the La Habra South apartment.

Week 28

Monday 5/9/2016 

After studies we went to the pinnacle and worked in their lab. We picked up laundry from the zone leaders apartment then headed over to the institute. We played some pool and picked up some food. We went to the church for pday activity, we had a few games of indoor soccer. We had our dinner back at the apartment. 

Tuesday 

We went out after lunch and tried to see a potential Tiffany she wasn't home so we will probably go back. We went to see a older woman Mrs. Wilt, she answered and said she was busy eating lunch. We went through the perspectives list and met Jeremy he isn't interested in coming back to church, but is ok if we stop by on occasion. We went to see if Tamara was out of the hospital. Tamara's son answered the door so we setup a time to see her. We had dinner with Sister Riley she brought us to Burger Parlor, we talked about her family setting a family mission plan. After dinner we called a lot of people to setup some appointments. After we left we found a wheel chair in the landscape of the church. So we know have a wheel chair in our apartment.

Wednesday

We had district meeting in the morning we talked about our finding efforts and what is effective. We had a zone grab and gather, so I got Georges and Elder Hamby got Deltaco. Some found a wheel chair and brought it in the gym, and that was our entertainment while we ate lunch. We saw a less active Joanna she is a nice elderly lady. After we went and saw Jeremy we taught him the Restoration and talked with him a bit. Dinner was with the Mikols it was good as always. We saw the Harris family and shared a message with them. We saw brother Leifi and focused on making a family mission plan.

Thursday 

After studies we went out and did some member hunting. Adam dropped us that was fine since it didn't seem he was putting much effort in. We did some more member hunting. We had dinner back at the apartment. We saw the Solomon family and we taught them about missionary work. At the end of the night we found three houses were members no longer lived. We met Albert he was awesome and super welcoming, most of his family speaks Spanish so we passed them to the Spanish elders. 

Friday 

We went and tried to see Josie in the morning, but her son was there and he said she was out. 

We weekly planned. 

After weekly planning we met Jenny and we taught her the restoration. She said she has been hearing the same thing from her friends, but she didn't want a return appointment. Brother Northgrave took us to Seoul Mate for dinner. It was pretty cool they have a Korean and Mexican cross. We picked up brother Jernigan and went to a lesson with Tamara. She still wants to get baptized, but she has all of the medical problems that continue to pop up. We gave here another baptismal date for her to work towards. 

Saturday 

We went with the zone leaders to do some park contacting in the morning. We met some YSA girls that weren't interested, a ham radio club and a suspicious guy. We ended up reporting the guy later on. Elder Haynie and I went and got some Costco pizza for lunch then brought it back to the zone leaders apartment. We were going to get Tamara over to sharing closet at the mission home but it didn't work out. We went to Joe's and saw the truck elders. We did some planning before the adult session of stake conference. The stake conference session was cool, the Taggart's were there. 

Sunday 

Stake conference in the morning. President and Sister Taggart spoke about missionary work. The focus was on the Sabbath and activating people in the stake. We had lunch at the Zone leaders apartment. After lunch we headed back and worked on some area zoning. We went out and tried to see some formers. We went over to the Bertichini's at the end of the night. 

Week 27

Monday 5/2/2016 

6 months

In the morning Elder Sparacino packed. We had a district breakfast a McDonald's. Elder Hamby stopped by to drop off some of his stuff after we came back from the breakfast. We emailed at the clubhouse for a while. Did some to dos like going to the post office and Walmart. Elder Russell came with North Hills and we went to drop Elder Sparacino off. The truck Elders didn't show up so we took Elder Burks with us and left. We got some food at In-n-out. We went to Pday activity. I stuck around till 5, Elder Hamby came. We headed out we tried to see Sherry and Jesus they were not home. At the end of the night we dropped off laundry at the zone leaders. 

Tuesday 

After studies we headed over to the zone leaders apartment and picked up the laundry. We went to SAMs did some shopping with Acacia park which is now Elder Russell and Nelson. We went back to the apartment and had lunch. After lunch we went to Craig park the park was empty when it usually isn't. We tried to see a lot of our potentials the sad thing is we had to drop a few. We were walking trying to find an address then I saw a guy so I say lets go talk to him. We go to talk to him and he says that there is a guy in the house that wants to talk to us. We talked to him for a while and found his profile in our area book. We will probably not be going back to see him. After we headed over and picked up some hangers from the zone leaders, 

Wednesday 

After studies we went out and our entire day was focused on finding. We met a few people that were possible potential investigators. We had dinner with the Nuttles we talked about them making a family mission plan and taught them how to do it. We continued the hunt for people for the rest of the night. We stopped by to see Loza and setup an appointment. 

Thursday 

After our studies we went to district meeting. We focused on our purpose as missionaries. We went and picked up lunch at Wendy's for a grab then gather. After lunch we headed out. We did some park contacting at the Hillcrest park. We found a group of guys reading and they invited us to a bible study. We met some others and talked with them. After the park we visited Robert he setup a appointment with us for next week. We headed back for dinner after trying to see some people. We had an appointment with Liza, Brother Northgrave came and we are excited to be working with her. We met Brother Northgrave at the church to have a lesson with Adam. Adam is ready but he needs to work on receiving his answer. We called it a night after our lessons 

Friday 

After studies we went with Elder Henderson for the day. We had a lesson with one of the YSA investigators, they brought us to In-N-Out. We taught her that God loves her and helped her recognize the spirit. We headed over to Joe's ice. While we were there two sister missionaries were there to give Joe a big thank you card. It was a good time to show up because we got some of the credit for the card. We had a lesson with a member on missionary work, it went really well. We went back and did stake reports. We dropped Elder Henderson back off with Elder Haynie. We got Costco hotdogs for dinner. Then some tracting we met a woman named Leslie and taught her the restoration.

Saturday 

In the morning after our studies we went to the church. We met up with the zone leaders and did our weekly planning together. After weekly planning we got lunch at Jack in the box. We had a pass off lesson with Dylan a college student we met in the park. We met up with him at a Panera and taught him the Restoration. We are not sure how he received it, he has a lot of potential. After the pass off lesson we went out and visited people, but none worked out. Dinner back at the apartment. We did some tracting after dinner we met a guy from the Philippines. He seemed interested, but couldn't meet with us. Then we called it a night.

Sunday  

Church in the morning no one we invited came sadly. We had lunch back at the apartment. After lunch we went to the YSA linger longer for dinner. We went to the Raymond church building to Skype our families. After we finished we dropped off my laundry and picked up Elder Hamby's.

Week 26

Monday 4/25/2016

We headed out to Ross and Burlington, Elder Sparacino needed to get somethings. We did some emailing back at the club house for a while. We headed over to the zone leaders apartment and did our laundry. We went to the barber shop, Elder Sparacino got a hair cut. After we went to the church building for nerf war. We played a few rounds then headed out. We did a mini exchange with the zone leaders to do a pass off lesson. We got to the house and person doesn't actually live in our area. We exchanged back to our regular companions. Then we exchanged with North Hills. I stayed in the area with Elder Durney. 

Tuesday 

After our studies we went out to do some finding. We did some tracting, we were able to talked to a lot of people no one was interested. We went back for lunch I made some pasta. We tried seeing some less actives no one was home except for one Brother Cannon. We went and saw sister Merilez we talked about temples and family history with her. We went to Craig park and talked to some people. We met a guy that showed moderate interest, but didn't want to meet. We went to dinner at the Olive Pit, it is a Mediterranean grill. While we were driving there we realized that it is just out of the boundary of the ward. We ate there and it was some good food I tried the Lamb Gyro meal. We went and had a lesson with the Weske family. They still feel that church is a big commitment. We finished by doing district finding we weren't able to find anyone. We went back to the apartment and Elder Durney packed and we exchanged back. 

Wednesday

After studies we went to the zone leaders so Elder Sparacino could pickup his laundry. We left and picked up some soup for lunch since Elder Haynie was sick then had lunch with the zone leaders. We went to Craig park we met Josh who was reading his scriptures when we walked up. We talked to him for a while he didn't believe in organized religion or in seeking if the Book of Mormon is true. We taught Michael a quick lesson on prayer. We met a guy that was loading some things into his truck. We to talked to him for a while and taught him the restoration he liked it. He had a heavy Spanish accent so we referred him to the Spanish Elders. Sister Anderson gave us a blessing referral at St. Jude. The referral was Mary again she was receiving dialysis this time. After we gave Mary a blessing a boy walked up to us and asked if we could bless his mom. We went in and saw her we found out that she lives in the Acacia Park ward. We went to a smoothie place for dinner, probably will not go back. We tried seeing a variety of people the rest of the night, people were either busy or didn't answer. We brought the Jernigans some tres leches cake and talked to them, then called it a night.  

Thursday 

In the morning we had zone training. At zone training we learned that we have the two new church pamphlets now. The training focused on why we are on our mission and why we stayed. After zone training we went to Mary's kitchen with La Habra and North Hills. When we finished Mary's we went to Wendy's for lunch. We stopped at the mission home to get a new phone then headed back to Fullerton. We did some tracting for a while before dinner. We had dinner with the Bertichinis, we rode in their 55 Chevy and ate at a place called Monkey Business.

Friday 

After our morning studies we went to the pizza press with Acacia park and the zone leaders. The place was good you make your own pizza there. After lunch we did some of our weekly planning. We had to cut weekly planning short then head to a zone service. The zone met up and we painted some of the equipment at a elementary school. After we were done helping with the service we went over to the Schillings for dinner. The Schillings needed some help with a tree in their backyard so we helped them out. After dinner we went and setup an appointment with Jesus.

Saturday 

We woke up and got ready for service. Fullerton was holding a big city wide community service. We headed over with most of the zone for the morning rally. There was breakfast and t shirts at the morning rally. After the rally you headed to the college  where we assembled bikes. The bikes that we assembled are going to foster kids in the area, so they can use them as their transportation. After we were done assembling bikes the zone met up on a parking garage. The last part of the service is where all the people meet up for lunch college. We got there and found out that all of the surrounding cities were doing service too. Some of the other zones showed up to the lunch. After the service event we went to the cloud to hangout before we got transfer calls. Transfer calls came I will be staying and I'm going to get Elder Hamby from Garden Grove. 

Sunday 

We went to church it was fast Sunday it was great they just had a continuing line to the pulpit. It was a shame that the meeting had to end. After church we met with brother NorthGrave our new ward mission leader. I'm excited to work with him he is really engaged and ready to help this ward progress. We went back to the apartment and Elder Sparacino packed. We stopped by the Jerigans so he come say goodbye. We had dinner at the Bertichinis. We planned settlers Elder Sparacino said his goodbyes and we called it a night.
