Week 20

Monday 3/14/2016 

We went on a hike in the morning. Most of the zone some Korean Elders came the zone leaders and the ASL missionaries didn't come. After the hike we went to cafe Rio with North and Sunny Hills. We went to Deseret book after with Sunny Hills. We headed back to Fullerton when we were do and got dropped off at our apartment. We emailed at the club house for a while. Elder Sparacino got a nerd gun at Target and we wen to the church. At the church we had a nerd war, all of the English program missionaries in the zone were there. We had dinner back at the apartment. After dinner we went and saw Todd a referral we got from brother Dean. We taught him the restoration and he was really interested in learning more. After Todd we stopped by brother Deans and told him about the lesson. 

Tuesday 

In the morning we had studies the zone leaders stopped by and we talked about the concerns with the zone. We had lunch at with Sunny Hills they made fried chicken. We did street contacting for an hour no follow up appointments. We had dinner with Brother and Sister Brown they bought In-N-Out. We had a lesson with Adam at the church building. Brother Nuttle the Elders quorum president was there, we talked about the word of wisdom with him. We did district finding for the rest of the night. 

Wednesday 

District meeting 

We learned about asking questions with teaching. When we ask great thought provoking questions it is great for the lesson. We grab lunch at Taco Bell and headed back to the church. We got a call when we got back to the apartment the La Habra sisters needed us to do a service for them. We headed over and helped the La Habra Elders. We loaded a members truck with his old hot tub and helped him take it to the dump. That took a long while. The member fed us Chinese food for dinner. 

Thursday 

After studies North Hills came over for lunch and we headed to Mary's kitchen for service. We stopped and got some Joes Ice after. Went and saw some less active members. We the new Easter initiative with Connie she really enjoyed it. We had dinner back at the apartment. We visited less actives the rest of the night. At the end of the night we went to vantage point to take some pictures.

Friday 

We tried to visit some people across the road from our complex but they weren't home. We had lunch at the La Habra Elders apartment. We tried to see Julianne but she was not home. We got a very old referral the woman no longer lived there. We taught Anna a recent convert about sabbath observance. We saw sister Mereliez and shared the Easter video with her. After we gave her a blessing since she just got out of the hospital. We had dinner with President Jewell and his family. 

Saturday 

After studies Sunny Hills picked us up and we went to the Heart to Heart event. The event is for kids with disabilities and it is hosted at a church building. So we helped run the event and taught people that had any questions about the church. The event lasted all day. After we were done we went to the park and did some park contacting. One guy was really interested and live out of the area. We headed to the zone leaders to do our laundry. The zone leaders got the transfer call. 

Elder Sparacino and I are staying together. 

Sunday 

In the morning we exchanged with the zone leaders. I went with Elder Haukman to the YSA ward. We exchanged back before the end of the YSA ward and went back to the apartment and had lunch. The exchange was so that an investigator they found could be passed to us. We had dinner with the Purringtons. Brother Purrington told us about how he built the first ward clerk computer and they still use some of his ideas today. The computer was in the church building we got to now it is in the church archives. We picked up our laundry and headed home for the night.

Week 19

Monday 3/7/2016 

We had our studies and the zone leaders came over for companion study. We showed the zone leaders were the longboard shop was. I had a coupon for a free mvp hair cut at sports clips so I used that. We went to Wendy's for lunch. We went to the church and long boarded till everyone came. Played volleyball and pivot. Dinner at the apartment. We saw Craig and his family with brother Dean. We shared the plan of salvation. Then exchanged at the end of the night. I was with Elder Durney in my area. 

Tuesday 

After studies we went out street contacting we met some cool people no one was interested. We had lunch with the Acacia Park Elders, Elder Russell made pasta. After we attempted to go and see some referrals we received, but no luck. Then we went and was Jean a less active in the ward and shared a message with her on the atonement. Then tracting we met a kid named Mario we are going to try to catch his family while they are home. We headed over to Connie and shared a short message since she didn't have a lot of time. Dinner was at the Milkols house she made some healthy meatloaf it was good. After dinner we saw the people that the La Habra sisters have us for district finding. We met Brianna and she was awesome she wanted us to share a message, so we did. We headed over to try to have a lesson with Tamara, but she was not home. There was a lesson set with Liza. We were walking to Liza's place and we saw Ruth. We passed Ruth to the zone leaders and she is really liking what they are teaching her. The appointment with Liza didn't work out. We headed back to the church and exchange back.  

Wednesday

We had district meeting in the morning, the presidents assistants came. We practiced using scriptures in lessons and helping the people we teach apply. We had a cake for everyone's birthday. We had five birthdays in the zone including mine and also Sister Taggert's was on Monday. We went to Georges for lunch with most of the district. We tried to visit referrals that we received, we weren't able to contact anyone. Elder Sparacino ran over a curb and we got another flat. We went and saw Todd and scheduled a time to see him next week. We also tried to see Tamara, but she had hives.

Thursday 

Birthday 

I received various phone calls during personal study. One included President and Sister Taggart singing. I got a call from Elder Dodd a buddy from the MTC he has the same birthday. We went to Cali tacos with La Habra and Sunny Hills. We also went to Joes ice. We did finding till dinner no one was really interested. We had dinner at the apartment. Adam canceled the lesson we had with him. We were going to help North Hills with service, but when we were almost there they canceled. That finished the night. 

Friday 

We woke up early and got ready and headed to Anaheim. Elder Hamula of the first quorum of the seventy came to talk to us. He spoke about to put it very simply being obedient. He spoke about coming and doing some measuring and cutting. He instructed us on being more Christlike and bearing his name. Some quotes that I liked "You are not priests with name tags on" and "Get rid of your love of shorts". We had lunch at viva express with Acacia Park and North Hills. They serve $1 fish tacos which are not bad. We had studies. Then we had a service scheduled with the Elders quorum, but it got canceled do to "hurricane like rain". 

Saturday 

After studies we went to a members house and picked grape fruit for her.. We did some finding activities. Then we went and helped North Hills with service that got canceled earlier in the week. Started our weekly planning. Dinner at the apartment with Sunny Hills. Then we visited one of there members in Sunny Hills 

Sunday 

We had PEC and Ward council in the morning. After sacrament we taught gospel principles class. Our lesson was on the Holy Ghost. In Elders quorum the lesson was on the restoration, that is one I don't think was a familiar with as missionaries. We hung around a while after church to try to get some ward information. Lunch at the apartment. Finished weekly planning, Then Dinner at the apartment. We did some finding and saw Liza. Then we called it a night.

Week 18

Monday 2/29/2016 

We headed to the mission office so Brother Anderson could check our tires. We went to the tire shop and got two new tires. After the tire shop we met up with Sunny Hills and North Hills. We did some shopping at Costco and Walmart. Costco pizza for lunch. Then we met at a park and played ultimate frisbee. We went back to our apartment and played sand volleyball. Then had dinner and did some finding for the rest of the night. 

Tuesday 

Studies 

Lunch at the apartment. 

We went and visited Tamara and a few others. Sunny Hills made us dinner this good chicken stuff. After we had district finding. 

Wednesday 

Zone training 

President and Sister Taggart came to zone training. The topic was chapter 10 of Preach my Gospel which is on teaching skills. After we picked up Taco Bell and brought it back to the church. North Hills needed some help with service after so we helped with that. One of the members in their ward needed help fixing some sand bags. We went to see Connie and shared a message on repentance and forgiveness. We brought Sunny Hills to a Chiropractor in the Acacia Park ward Elder Westover was having bad back problems.  

Thursday 

After studies we got a ride from the Acacia Park to Mary's Kitchen. After we got done with serving at Mary's kitchen we went Joe's ice with the LaHabra elders. We helped Joe the owner bring in some blood oranges. It was the least we could do since he gives all the missionaries from shaved ice. After we went to our apartment for dinner. Then went tout and tried to see Tamara. Then we picked up Brother Jernagan for a lesson with Adam. 

Friday 

Studies 

Weekly planning 

We got a referral when we where done weekly planning. We went to the house and found out that the referral had already been contacted and it was old. We went to get Boba with Sunny Hills, but we decided to get yogurt land instead. After we went and saw Krystal and set a lesson up. We also visited Todd and set up an appointment. We picked up Elder Sparacino's ten pound bag of rice from the Zone leaders, also our white boards from Acacia Park.  

Saturday 

Studies 

Stopped by target to try to find some bamboo blinds. We went to Cali tacos for lunch. We have been trying to eat healthy, but Cali tacos is the best burrito around. After Cali tacos we went to Joe's ice. Then we headed back to Fullerton. We went and shared a message with Connie she really enjoyed it. After we went park contacting. We were able to meet a few Hindus, two Muslims, some Lutherans and a born again in less than a half hour. We had dinner with Acacia Park. After dinner we went and tried to see some people. 

Sunday 

Fast Sunday 

Adam came to church but he didn't stick around after sacrament. We had a meeting with Brother Bird our ward mission leader after church. We went and tried to see Tamara and also Gill and Victoria. We had dinner back at the apartment. After dinner we felt we should try and see Tamara and Gill Ned Victoria again. We saw the Olea family and set up and appointment for next week. We finished the night by stopping by Liza and setting up and appointment.
